Configuring your Settings

TagStation's Settings tab enables you to define default images and text which your listeners will see in connected cars, in the NextRadio app, and on HD radios that support The Artist Experience, if you have licensed TagStation for HD.

A completed Settings tab is content priority #1 for every broadcast channel.

 

Log into the TagStation Admin at https://admin.tagstation.com/ and select the Settings tab.  There are three subtabs (General, Automation, Content) with fields to fill out.

 

Notes:
1. Required fields are marked with a red asterisk. You must add values to all required fields on all three subtabs before you can save your settings.
2. Some options may not be available, depending on your TagStation license.

Genre: Select your station's format from the dropdown list.

Station Slogan: limited to 20 characters

Top Artists/Description: limited to 100 characters

Station Logo: JPEG, PNG or GIF, 450x450 pixels minimum, no transparency 

Default Headline and Default Text: limited to 63 characters combined

Website URL: Enter the main Web address for your station.

Phone Number: Enter your station's call-in number, e.g. your request line.

Twitter Username: Enter the main Twitter handle for your station.  This is used to populate NextRadio's Newsfeed for your listeners.  TagStation licensed stations should put Twitter handles for individual DJs or shows on the Schedule tab.

NextRadio Alignment: Use this setting to align your FM signal with the visuals coming from TagStation so they arrive simultaneously in the NextRadio app and connected cars.

Note:
If your middleware has a profanity delay setting, you should set that value appropriately prior to setting your NextRadio Alignment.

Alerts: Check the box and enter at least one email address that should receive an alert when TagStation stops receiving your audio events. The recipient(s) should be knowledgeable of your middleware and playout system, typically a station Engineer.  Separate multiple email addresses with a comma.

 

Replacement Content: When a spot or promo plays, you can send the default spot/NTR message or station schedule content to receiving devices.   Use this toggle to select which content to deliver. If you select Station Schedule and no schedule content is available, your default spot/NTR message will be delivered.

Default Spot Message: Enables you to define information to display when spots (that are not part of a campaign) are played. Logo, website URL and phone number are not required.  If these fields are not added, the information in Settings: General will be displayed.

Default NTR Message: Enables you to define information to display when promos (that are not part of a campaign) are played.  Logo, website URL and phone number are not required.  If these fields are not added, the information in Settings: General will be displayed.

Card content: Select up to five cards to display beneath music events (songs) and/or non-music events (spots/promos).
